Snapshot error during PVS capture

If you have optimized your PVS target devices with my provided scripts you might notice that you can’t capture a PVS image.  That’s because the Shadowcopy and Snapshot services get disabled as we don’t want them in a non-persistent virtual environment.  To address this, exit out of the imaging wizard, but choose the option not to rerun the imaging wizard during boot.  Then open an admin command prompt and run the following commands.

sc config swprv start= auto
net start swprv
sc config VSS start= auto
net start VSS
"C:\Program Files\Citrix\Provisioning Services\p2pvs.exe"

Finally follow the P2PVS Wizard to capture the entire hard disk to the virtual hard disk.

Be wary, on some systems you will get a pop under windows asking you to format the newly attached disk.  I have had clients click that after the capture process and wipe out the copy that just took place.
